My practice of psychiatry involves use of both medications and psychotherapy. Virtually all of my patients are involved in psychotherapy either with me or another therapist. Consequently many people opt for typical therapy sessions including medication management, which is often not the sole focus of treatment. I employ a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques, and have most experience with longer-term psychodynamic psychotherapy. I treat individuals, and have treated couples and families; patients range in age from early grade school to adulthood, and have a variety of diagnoses including anxiety disorders, mood disorders and attentional disorders. I am interested in collaborating with patients to devise a treatment which is based on their strengths, while addressing areas of difficulty.
